Use the heat correctly for best results and recovery
- If you use an electric heating pad, start with a lowest setting first. Maintain the same temperature for the duration of the session. Once you start getting used to the heat, you can slowly and gradually increasing the temperature.
- WARNING: Never fall asleep with any type of electrical heat pack on. You could end up with a nasty burn. Drink lots of water, cos these dry heat therapy stuff can dehydrate you quicker than you think.
- Alternate with moist heating stuff such as the warm baths with epsom salts cto balance out your skin moisture / dryness.
It’s actually okay to use heat therapy before exercising and working out. But bear in mind that if you have any swelling, please use it only after when the swelling or pain has gone down (heating swelling skin will only increase inflammation).
This is where cold therapy comes in.
Heat therapy is nice, and can be done by almost anyone and is nicely affordable. We usually recommend reusable stuff as they’re more cost effective, such as
- electrical heat pad
- infrared heat lamp

- warm baths with epsom salts
